Sponsored by the Teacher Education NetworkOne of the most successful methods to help teachers (both inservice and preservice) develop technology-using practices is through observations and modeling. The Teacher Education Network recognizes the importance for both preservice and inservice educators to have resources to display observations and models of best educational technology and assistive technology practices. It would be a huge advantage for both teacher educators and professional development designers to have access to videos. Therefore, the Teacher Education Network is taking a leading role in soliciting, cultivating, managing, and sharing a library of technology integration video resources.
The ISTE Technology in Action Award honors outstanding technology-using PreK-12 teachers. As Teacher Educators, we find that we often lack great examples of how teachers use technology, especially a wide variety of grades, subjects, and technologies. This is why we need you! TEN is looking for videos of your best practices for integrating technology for teaching and learning. These videos will be used as models and examples for inservice and preservice teachers around the world. We hope to build a database of videos that can showcase how ISTE teachers use and integrate technology into a wide range of subject areas and grade levels. Each year, we select the top ten exceptional videos created by teachers from any grade level or content area who are at the cutting edge of integrating digital technologies into their instruction. |
